On this day we had a few places to go see to complete some work in our Cuaderno. First stop on the list was the indoor mercado. This is the outside of it.
Inside the mercado there were mostly three stands: fish, meat,
and fruit.
I bought a kilo of some of the best strawberries I've ever tasted.
A view down one of the streets.
This was the view from inside the courtyard of a building called Casa de las Conchas. It was built for a woman who was from the ocean by her husband to remind her of home. I'm not quite sure what the building in the photo is though. Sorry...
A closer up.
The doors to the cathedral in Salamanca have to be the biggest most solid wood doors I've ever seen. This is me in front of the back door to the cathedral.
Some one was playing this glorious organ when we visited.
Some more cathedral photos.
This is the old Roman bridge with the cathedral in the distance.
One of my favorite things about Salamanca was how many musicians played in the street. I saw an accordian player, a harp player, a guitar player, and these two cello players. (I think these are cellos, no?)
Until next time.
