La Alberca and a bull ranch.

6.19.11

La Alberca is a very small traditional town about two to three hours outside of where we were staying in Salamanca.  It's architecture is interesting because it is highly influenced by central European immigrants.  I just couldn't help but to take a picture of this little guy.  Flowers are probably my favorite thing to photograph, but I've bee trying to branch out and try new things.  This was the first flower I photographed on the trip, and I think the only one thus far.

There are so many cute old people here in Spain.

Here are some of my fellow "Conectados"!

We ate a huge multiple course lunch at a table set up like this one, only bigger.  Everything was very tasty.  Something I had never experienced before was being served a shot of tequila after a meal to assist in digestion.  Some of us opted out of the shot due to how we were feeling from the night before...

After lunch we all needed a little rest to let our bodies process all that food.

Our after lunch activities!  The bull ranch we visited raised bulls for bull fighting, a traditional form of entertainment in Spain.

The man in the blue button down is the owner of the bull ranch.

Both La Alberca and the bull ranch were absolutely beautiful to behold.  Next to come, pictures of Trujillo.

Love.
