All of Friday was spent working on the essays that were due that night at midnight.  There's nothing more exciting than the adrenaline rush you get trying to meet a deadline, am I right?  Well, I'm not sure if that's completely true, but it's the only way I've been writing papers all my life.  It usually works out in the end.

Saturday there was a bbq at my parents' house.  It was the first time my dad has opened the pool all summer, so everyone was pretty excited to partake in a refreshing dip.  It was nice to get to see everyone that I did before I leave.  I sure am going to miss a bunch of people.

These are the books that my cousin Brandon gave to me for my trip.  Lois Lowry's "The Messenger", Homer's "The Odyssy", and a collection of poems by Shel Silverstein.  He sure picked quite good selections, if you ask me, and I can't wait to read them.  I'm thankful to have something to read on the ten hour flight.

On Monday, I picked up around the house a bit and waited for a package.  Then I met up with Juan at the duck pond on campus.  While I was waiting I watched this funny turtle sun bathing, and this young mother duck with her cute, very energetic ducklings.
Right now it's 11:11 and I have yet to take a photo today.  So, I'll get on that and include it in the next post.  I still have so much to do and I leave the day after tomorrow.  This is really happening...
